What time can I see vehicles at the start (Barratt Reserve, West Beach)?

Gates will open at Barratt Reserve, West Beach at 6:30 am with vehicles set to depart at 8:15 am.

What time can I see vehicles at the Alternative Start, the Civic Centre Carpark Modbury?

Gates will open at our Alternative Start, the Civic Centre Carpark Modbury, at 7:00 am for 8:30 am departure.

When will vehicles start to arrive at the National Motor Museum?

Vehicles will begin to arrive at the National Motor Museum at 9:30 am for the Finish Festival which begins at 10:00 am.

Tickets for the Finish Festival are still available online or at the event gates. Parking is available off Shannon Street.

Please drive carefully if/when taking the Bay to Birdwood route.

What roads are closed due to the Bay to Birdwood?

West Beach Road, West Beach between Military Road and Tapleys Hill Road – between 7.00 am and 11.00am

North-East Road, Modbury for 100 metres either side of the Civic Park car park (western carriageway left lane only)

North-East Road, Tea Tree Gully between Perseverance Road and Lower North-East Road. (Westbound Carriageway Only) – between 7.00am and 1.00pm

Church Street, Birdwood from Warren Road to the National Motor Museum closed to west bound traffic.

Wegener Road, Birdwood from Church Street to Shannon Street, closed to north bound traffic – between 9.00 am and 3.30 pm.

How do I enter the 2022 Bay to Birdwood?

Vehicle registrations to the 2022 Bay to Birdwood are closed.

I registered for the 2021 Bay to Birdwood but chose to roll my registration over to 2022 – what will happen next?

All Entrants who decided to roll their registration fee from 2021 into 2022 were contacted early in 2022 to see if they still intend to be involved in the Bay to Birdwood on 16 October 2022. If you did not receive a confirmation email please contact us to check that your details are still correct.

What year of vehicle is eligible to enter the Bay to Birdwood?

Since the Bay to Birdwood celebrated its 40th Anniversary in 2020 the event has changed to include all years of vehicles from the early 1900s through to 30 years prior to the event. In 2022 we welcome any vehicle that has not been substantially modified and manufactured prior to 1993.
